The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that pricing and product information for direct store delivery (DSD) vendors are accurately set up and maintained as it relates to both regular and promotional pricing.   The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in observance of Rite Aid’s brand and strategy and adhere to our core values and service attributes.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Collect pricing data from DSD vendors on a monthly basis, ensuring that their cost and retail pricing files and vendor maintenance files are current and accurately maintained.

  • Set up ad and Temporary Price Reduction (TPR) promotional prices in the pricing system and ensure it is sent via the corporate bulletin system to the retail stores.

  • Obtain product information from Regional Vice President, DSD Pricing Supervisor, Liquor Specialist, and DSD vendors (as applicable) to set up authorized products in the pricing and vendor maintenance systems.

  • Communicate DSD regular cost changes to the DSD Pricing Supervisor, and the Liquor Specialist so they in turn can establish new retails the protect profit margins.

  • Research, respond to and correct pricing errors on DSD items as notified by store associates and the accounts payable cost exception daily flag.

  • Act as a liaison between the retail stores and the Data Integrity department regarding product pricing.

  • Communicate to retail store group regarding their DSD merchandise and pricing needs.

  • Notify retail stores of new DSD product information.



Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.




QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:



Education and/or Experience

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

  • Retail environment required.

  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience



The typical starting pay range for this position is between $17.10 - $21.40 per hour, although wages can very based on experience and geography.
